Bills vs. Chiefs: Rashad Fenton among inactive players

Let’s look at the lists of inactive players for both the Kansas City Chiefs and the visiting Buffalo Bills for Week 6.

The list of injured players who are already inactive for the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6 almost make it a certainty that we’re going to see plenty of offensive firepower from each side. That’s because the defensive backfields for both teams are missing key players and it might get even worse from what we already know.

For the Buffalo Bills, they have already declared Tre’Davious White would remain out for this game as he recovers from an ACL injury. He’s been back at practice, but he’s not yet ready to play a game. The Bills were already without safety Micah Hyde for the season and even Jordan Poyer has been limited in practice, although he’s getting better and should be able to play.

The Chiefs have already declared a couple of key players in the secondary out for the game. Rookie safety Bryan Cook, a second-round pick out of Cincinnati, saw his snaps increase in recent weeks as the team’s new third safety behind Justin Reid and Juan Thornhill. However, he has been in the team’s concussion protocol for the last week and missed practice every day.

Also sitting out for this game is Rashad Fenton, a veteran corner who is one of the most experienced and versatile players in the Chiefs’ pass defense. His loss means that a rookie like Joshua Williams is likely going to have to step up alongside Jaylen Watson to help the Chiefs keep up with the Bills.
