The Kansas City Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. Let’s take a look at how FanDuel Sportsbook sees it playing out early in the week.

The second divisional challenge of the Kansas City Chiefs season is slated for primetime, as they are set to host the Las Vegas Raiders in this week’s rendition of Monday Night Football.

It has been a tale of two fates for the age-old rivals in 2022. Kansas City has not skipped a beat while enduring a miniature overhaul, and Las Vegas seems to have remained more or less the exact same after big spending in the offseason.

Chiefs vs Raiders odds Week 5

The Chiefs enter Monday night’s matchup at 3-1 overall and are averaging over 32 points per game. The Raiders are 1-3 and are forcing just 24 points per game. The FanDuel Sportsbook opening odds are right in line with both the numbers we’ve seen thus far this season and the tone of the rivalry’s recent history.

The Chiefs are currently listed as -7.5 point favorites, and the points total is set at 51.5. Kansas City is 1-0 against the spread when they are favored by six or more points (Week 1 against Arizona—a game that featured a total of 65 points), and Las Vegas is 0-1 ATS when they are dogs this season (Week 1 against the Chargers). The Chiefs are 15-3 against the Raiders since Andy Reid began his tenure in K.C. and have won those games by an average of over 15 points.

The Raiders have been equally inconsequential as opponents to the Chiefs as the Broncos have been over the past decade, and there is little to no evidence to suggest that trend changing on Monday night.

Chiefs vs Raiders prediction Week 5

Kansas City has scored a total of 156 points against Las Vegas in their last four contests. While the Raiders are only allowing 25 points per game to opponents so far this season, I have very little confidence in their ability to stop the Chiefs offense on Monday.

The Week 4 flop to the Colts will be remembered as the lowest point of the Chiefs’ 2022 campaign, and they aren’t looking back. They moved the ball with ease—in a variety of ways—against a notably more respectable defense in Tampa Bay last week, and are poised to embarrass the Raiders once more. Chiefs 36, Raiders 23.
