Let’s look at the lists of inactive players for both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading into their Week 4 showdown.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the visiting Kansas City Chiefs are both hurting quite a bit these days when it comes to injuries to some of their better contributors. While the star power remains firmly in place—namely Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Mike Evans, and Travis Kelce are all healthy—both teams could be missing numerous key players when they take the field on Sunday Night Football.
The Week 4 matchup between the Chiefs and Bucs is one of the more anticipated games of the year on the NFL calendar, but it will be interesting to see which team can show some offensive spark after a frustrating week last Sunday on which both teams lost their first games of the year. That means a two-game losing skid awaits the loser of this battle.
For the Bucs, they already know defensive tackle Akiem Hicks is out, but questions still remain around wide receivers Russell Gage, Chris Godwin, Julio Jones and Breshad Perriman.
The same can be said for the Chiefs who aren’t sure if they’re going to get defensive end Joshua Kaindoh healthy or if receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling will overcome an abdomen injury to play in primetime. It should be noted that Mecole Hardman is also dealing with an heel injury.
