After a miserable showing in Week 3, we’d love to see these four player shifts for the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4 against the Buccaneers.

Both the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off their first loss of the season in Week 3 after beginning the year with consecutive wins. This means that one of the teams will end up back at .500 after Week 4’s matchup on Sunday Night Football.

With the way each franchise looked in Week 3 in close games, fans should expect to see some shifts going forward in hopes of providing a spark in problem areas. For the Chiefs, the defense has held strong, but the offense has sputtered in recent games and special teams were a total disaster a week ago.

We’d love to see the Chiefs consider a few player shifts as they prepare to play the Bucs on Sunday night and the list begins with a rookie who deserves a real look on offense.

Skyy Moore to emerge

The Chiefs rookie class has already made quite a statement so far in 2022, but the real impact has only been felt on the defensive side. That’s understandable given that five of the first six picks in the draft for the Chiefs came on that side of the ball, but one of those second-round choices—Western Michigan wide receiver Skyy Moore—brought hopes of offensive impact as well.

So far in his rookie year, Moore has only been tasked with return duties and the results have been mixed to date. He’s held his own early on in the year, but two serious gaffes in Week 3 were the difference between winning and losing against the Indianapolis Colts.

No one is quite sure why Moore isn’t gaining more offensive reps yet, but there’s a long line of newer faces in the receivers’ room who are all trying to generate stronger chemistry within and a better understanding of the Chiefs’ offense. This week, however, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecoel Hardman are both dealing with injuries and it’s possible that Moore might be needed for that alone.

Given the hype for Moore coming in, it would be great to see him earn a few targets from Patrick Mahomes to help provide an offensive boost—if he’s mentally ready for the task.
