The Kansas City Chiefs had perhaps one of their worst performances in recent history. They lose to the Indianapolis Colts 20-17 in an ugly game. Let’s see who did their jobs and who fell short.

There was a lot of discussion after last week that the Kansas City Chiefs won but didn’t play their best, that by expected points, the Los Angeles Chargers should have won the game. Well, in Week 3, the Chiefs couldn’t overcome their own mistakes, going from an ugly win to an ugly loss.

Very few expected the Colts to win this game, but many talked about how this team was better than their performances so far. This team last year was a win-and-in situation away from getting into the playoffs. Some said they were possibly one of the scariest teams to face if they made it in. With Carson Wentz out and Matt Ryan in his place at quarterback, this team was expected to again compete for the playoffs. But the team stumbled out of the gate with a tie against the Houston Texans and a complete shutout against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Perhaps the biggest things that helped the Colts over the Chiefs were the miscues on special teams. Matt Ammendola missed an extra point and a field goal. The team failed on a fake field goal attempt and had a muffed punt by Skyy Moore. Overall the only side of the ball that perhaps had a chance to skate by without much blame was the Defense. But an untimely penalty by star defensive tackle Chris Jones extended a drive that ultimately become the game-winner.

With that overview out of the way, let’s break it down to the individual players to whose stock is rising or falling. And just like last week, we’ll only be looking at veteran players in this one, rookies will be covered in their own article.
