Twitter reacts to Kansas City Chiefs not-so-special teams

The Kansas City Chiefs are confusing everyone with their decisions on special teams against the Indianapolis Colts.
In a game in which special teams has looked anything but special already, the Kansas City Chiefs saved another odd gaffe for the fourth quarter in which they took the ball out of their best player’s hands and/or withheld a solid attempt to go up by two scores for the sake of allowing Tommy Townsend to attempt a pass for a first down.
Yeah.
If you missed it, the Chiefs were driving in the fourth quarter with a four-point lead over the Colts on the road when they stalled and faced a fourth-and-ten. Instead of sending in new kicker Matt Ammendola for a 42-yard field goal, which is certainly not anything in the realm of “superhuman,” the Chiefs decided to only make it look as if they were going for it.
Instead, Townsend reared back and threw a pass a bit too high to Justin Watson and the Colts took over on the 24-yard line with a chance to take the lead.
Never mind the fact that somehow the Chiefs are going with a kicker that they trust to do absolutely nothing at this point (he did miss an extra point attempt earlier in the game), but Andy Reid’s decision to go for it also went against allowing Patrick Mahomes to at least do what he could on fourth-and-10. In other words, if you need 10 yard and you want someone to pass for those very yards, don’t you want Mahomes taking that shot instead of some punter deception?
Given the way the Chiefs have already looked so pitiful on special teams (from Skyy Moore’s gaffes to Pacheco’s near fumble) to Ammendola’s missed XP, the Chiefs have to regroup on special teams at this point. And we’re not the one ones who think so.
