Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders were lucky enough to open up the season with a critical divisional game against the Chargers. I love this because one of these two teams was going to start from behind and it is so wonderful that it is the Raiders. I hate the Raiders. Let’s get into the game, however.

The biggest problem for the Raiders appears to have been…shockingly…Derek Carr. Who could ever have seen that coming?? He threw three interceptions and you just can’t do that against a team like the Chargers.

One bright spot, however, was Davante Adams. He was spectacular and has changed the offense for the better. Adams had 141 receiving yards, including a 2-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Raiders tried to make a comeback, but fell short and ultimately dropped the opener to the Chargers.

The Raiders now host the Cardinals which should be an easier matchup than the Chargers. I anticipate the Raiders will likely find themselves at .500 come Sunday evening but a loss in the division this early is something that could haunt the Raiders down the road…
