What time do Kansas City Chiefs play Washington Commanders?
The Kansas City Chiefs host the Washington Commanders in the second preseason game for both teams on Saturday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium.
One week after they put up a very positive showing in a game with negative final results, the Kansas City Chiefs now get to stay at home for their second of three preseason games. On Saturday, the Chiefs will host the visiting Washington Commanders at Arrowhead Stadium.
Last Saturday, the Chiefs opened up their preseason schedule against the Chicago Bears on the road at Soldier Field. The Bears won by a final score of 19-14, but the Chiefs dominated for the entirety of the first half—in which they were up 14-0—and the starters looked like they were in midseason form. Patrick Mahomes completed 6 of 7 passes before finding Blake Bell for a touchdown on his first series, and rookies like George Karlaftis looked ready for the big time.
This time around, the Commanders are likely going to see the Chiefs’ starters for an entire half as they prepare for the regular season. That means there’s a greater chance for injury but head coach Andy Reid has as much experience as anyone and knows best what it takes to have his team ready for the rigors of the regular season.
Chiefs fans will hope to see further development from the young players, clean and healthy play from their starters, and emerging competition for the final few spots still available on the roster.
