Demarcus Robinson finds new home with Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have given former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Demarcus Robinson a new place to land in the NFL preseason.
Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Demarcus Robinson has found a new place to land in the NFL—and even in the AFC—with the news that he’d been signed as a free agent by the Baltimore Ravens.
Robinson spent the majority of the offseason with the Las Vegas Raiders after signing with them back in the spring in free agency after leaving the Chiefs for the first time in his six NFL seasons. Robinson stuck with the Raiders until after the first preseason game when Las Vegas released him in the first round of roster cuts earlier this month.
It’s possible that the Raiders cut Robinson in order to give him a leg up on the competition in training camp to land another role. If so, it has worked because the Ravens are an excellent organization with a history of sustained success and Robinson will appreciate the culture after years with the Chiefs. That said, he faces an uphill climb to make the active roster by signing so late in the preseason. Still, the Ravens signed Robinson for a reason so anything is possible.
Robinson entered the NFL as a former fourth-round selection by the Chiefs in the 2016 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida. He lasted six seasons with the Chiefs as an occasionally utilized target behind Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce in one of the league’s most high-octane offenses.
Robinson left the Chiefs with career totals of 145 catches for 1,679 yards and 14 touchdowns.
