Patrick Allen and Matt Verderame fired up the Arrowhead Addict podcast for a post-game breakdown of what they liked and didn’t from the Chiefs vs. Bears.

The Kansas City Chiefs failed to come away from their road trip to Chicago with a win over the Bears, but the end result is just about the only thing that didn’t matter in the end for both teams. While the Bears did enjoy a 19-14 win for the hometown fans, the truth is that both teams are solely focused on roster battles and player health at this stage.

For the Chiefs, they have to be fairly pleased with the way things went in the opening tilt of the preseason. They did suffer a few injuries, but the hope is that none are serious. They also saw several young players flash pro-ready potential from this year’s draft class, including pass rusher George Karlaftis.

On this episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast, Patrick Allen and Matt Verderame give their initial post-game impressions of what they saw from the Chiefs and Bears at Soldier Field. They also dive into some early projections of what a 53-man roster might look like for the Chiefs at the end of the month.
