Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid appeared on ‘Good Morning Football’ and spoke glowingly of his new quarterback and the Kansas City Chiefs offense.
New Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid is quickly endearing himself to Chiefs Kingdom. The newest member to the Chiefs’ defense was on Good Morning Football on Wednesday hyping up the team’s’ offense.
“We are going to come out and put up a 100 points. We have the greatest football quarterback in the game.”

It’s a little surprising at first that a defensive player is hyping up his team’s offense, but Reid knows that the Chiefs have the best quarterback in football and he doesn’t think the team will skip a beat.
This all comes on the heels of the ongoing Tyreek Hill drama that has unfolded in the months since Hill was traded. Hill has been on and off again in his remarks about his former team but has heavily alluded to the idea that the Chiefs may not be nearly as good without him.
Even though they were never teammates, Reid has apparently taken exception to anyone who seemingly agrees with Hill and went so far as to say that the Chiefs offense “will do what they always do'” and boldly predicted they would score 100 points in a game.
It’s definitely hyperbole from Reid, but it’s nice to hear someone from the defense speaking out in defense of his quarterback. It also may not be hyperbole, as Reid is one of the few people who have seen firsthand that the Chiefs can rack up points, specifically when the Chiefs came back by 24 to drop a 50-burger on the Texans the year they won the Super Bowl.
This is a helluva play by Daniel Sorensen to snuff out the fake punt.

Watch Sorensen before the snap: he was all over this — very focused. He's moving with Reid the whole way. pic.twitter.com/p86GnMJQGe
I’m glad Reid is on our team now, but can’t help but wonder if he still thinks of this play occasionally.
At any rate, Reid speaking well of his new teammates certainly shows how much of a team player he is, and how much confidence he has in the side of the ball he doesn’t even play on. That being said, while I would love to see the Chiefs score as many as 100 points in a single game, I just hope it’s not because Reid and the defense are giving up 93 points.
