NFL Network will carry all three KC Chiefs preseason games
By Matt Conner
The 2022 preseason schedule of three games has been out for a while now, but if you were wondering how you might take in the exhibitions for yourself, the NFL Network announced its slate of preseason games that it would broadcast live later this summer.
Per a press release from the National Football League, the decision has been made to carry 22 games as they happen and the Kansas City Chiefs are playing in three of those.
The NFL will run a live broadcast of every preseason game of the Kansas City Chiefs this preseason, per an announcement on Monday.
The league will broadcast every single preseason game of the Chiefs live knowing that the team will be one of the most-watched, even if it’s largely backup players competing for fringe roster spots. Here are the three games:
- Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears – Saturday, August 13, 6:00 p.m.
- Washington Commanders vs. Kansas City Chiefs – Saturday, August 20, 3:00 pm.
- Green Bay Packers vs. Kansas City Chiefs – Thursday, August 25, 7:00 p.m.
*All times C.T.
These three postseason games will give the Chiefs plenty to figure out in the live setting. Fans will be undoubtedly curious to watch how an offense without Tyreek Hill will shake out, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Skyy Moore will get to show off their talents to varying degrees before other prospects take over.
It will also be fun to watch how the Chiefs’ latest rookie class looks knowing how much acclaim Brett Veach earned for his 10 selections in April. Trent McDuffie, Leo Chenal, Joshua Williams, Bryan Cook, and George Karlaftis will all find themselves with prime opportunities to show off in the preseason and those reps will be vital for their growth heading into the regular season.
The NFL’s preseason schedule kicks off with the New York Giants against the New England Patriots on Thursday, August 11.
