What is Skyy’s limit?

The Chiefs first selection of the second round in the 2022 NFL Draft was used on wide receiver Skyy Moore from Western Michigan.

The greatest strength that Moore brings to Kansas City this year is his reputation of reliability. He boasted a 3.3% drop rate throughout his entire collegiate career, which was the second-lowest of any receiver in his class. He is built like a brick and has massive hands, so if his route running and ability to create separation continue to evolve and mature throughout camp and the preseason, the sky truly is the limit for Moore.

Moore’s collegiate snaps were split fairly evenly between the X and the Y, and he will present a great deal of competition for each of his aforementioned teammates. At this point in time, he has as much a chance to emerge as “the guy” as anyone else, and his development will be a lot of fun to follow in the coming months.

There is a ton of potential within this group, and although the Chiefs are shifting from a sure thing in Tyreek Hill to a group of players looking to take the next step, this variety of skill sets complimented by the best quarterback in the NFL will lead to the Kansas City offense remaining a force to be reckoned with in 2022.
