WR Scotty Miller

Wide receiver Scotty Miller would be a good player in head coach Andy Reid’s scheme, despite Kansas City’s depth at the position.

Miller is hardly a prototypical wide receiver, measuring at only 5’9″, 174 lbs. He has absolutely blazing speed though, stretching opposing defenses consistently. However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have used him modestly, opting for taller receivers and more short-to-intermediate passes. Between injuries in 2021 and a very deep wide receiver room, Miller did not see many opportunities. He had a career year in 2020, catching 33 passes for 501 yards and three touchdowns.

Kansas City has options for the deep-ball targets left by Hill’s departure. Hardman should fill in nicely in the role, as well as Valdes-Scantling. However, fans know how much Kansas City loves to have speed and Miller has that in spades. At least Miller would give Kansas City insurance if either Hardman or Valdes-Scantling goes down with an injury.

Miller is still a young player, at only 24 years old. Putting him with one of the league’s best deep passers in Mahomes could be a great pairing. If Kansas City chooses to prioritize speed again, Miller would be a great option.
