Kansas City Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed had his personal vehicle shot at multiple times, but fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting and Sneed was not at the scene. TMZ Sports was the first to report the news.
Shortly after the news broke about Sneed’s car, his agent made a statement to the press saying that the act was “random and unnecessary”. Sneed was questioned by authorities but he was released by Minden City Police in Minden, Louisiana.
Sneed’s statement also stated that a $5,000 reward is available for information that leads to a conviction of those responsible.
A third-year cornerback out of Lousiana Tech, Sneed is the Chiefs’ most dependable defender in the secondary at this stage of his young career after the team went through a wholesale reinvention of its safeties and cornerbacks.
He had 76 total tackles last year in 15 games with 8 passes deflected, 2 interceptions, and a completion rate allowed of 68.8 percent. He played in 94 percent of all snaps in ’21.
