Despite the Kansas City Chiefs already taking two picks and making moves in the 2022 NFL Draft, the event is far from over. With the Chiefs holding a lot more draft capital, with eight picks in the next six rounds, general manager Brett Veach is going to stay busy through the weekend.

So, what can we expect the Chiefs to do heading into day two? Additionally, who are some of the players that need to be on the Kansas City Chiefs’ radar?

There were a lot of unknowns heading into the first round. I mean, even the first pick of the draft was a toss-up. Nonetheless, the Chiefs walked away with a better team after the first 32 overall selections.

There are plenty of exciting prospects who would make great fits for the Kansas City Chiefs heading into the second day of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Going into the day, the Chiefs had been linked to many different names. However, the ones that tended to pop up most on mock drafts were Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams and Michigan safety Daxton Hill. Oddly enough, the Chiefs ended the day without either. Instead, they walked away with a top cornerback in Washington’s Trent McDuffie and a new edge rusher in Purdue’s George Karlaftis.

Predicting how day two will pan out is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It’s almost impossible. However, what I can give you is a list of players at the top of my big board that fits the Chiefs’ needs and could become key players in the coming years.

Looking at how the Chiefs draft played out on day one, I would expect them to be aggressive when looking to obtain position players. With most of the receivers that they’ve been linked to off the board, the patience to sit around and hope one falls to them is not the right approach.

Also, before I go into this, I want to make sure you all know that this is built around a realistic approach. Of course, for a cornerback, I could say a prospect like Clemson’s Andrew Booth, but I doubt he’ll be there. The round opens at No. 33 overall and the Chiefs are not slated to pick again until No. 50 and again at No. 62.

So, without further ado, here are names to watch as the second day of the draft unfolds.
