2022 NFL Draft: KC Chiefs trade up in final first-round mock

The Steelers signed Mitchell Trubisky to be one of two things: A starter or a stopgap. Knowing what we know about Mike Tomlin, the latter seems more likely. With all of the rumors swirling about their love for Malik Willis, it could certainly be a smokescreen to add the local hero at pick 20; Kenny Pickett.
While Pickett is not your top-notch quarterback prospect, the ceiling and floor are relatively high. While it is entirely possible that the Steelers add an offensive lineman here, Pickett seems like a fit in their offensive scheme. Although he does not have a cannon for an arm, he makes consistent, measured throws that are placed well. Pickett may not be a day one starter, but with some work, he will have a chance to be a long-term starter.
Other than safeties, Bill Belichick has never loved a position on the football field more than a linebacker. Nakobe Dean is the PERFECT fit for the New England defense. Dean is one of, if not the smartest defender in the draft. While Dean is not the most physically gifted, he could be a team leader and a “jack of all trades” archetype that the Patriots need to run their multiple-look scheme.
Dean was one of the best parts of the very talented Georgia defense of last season. Dean was not only a leader but extremely capable against the run. To my eyes, there is no better fit in this draft than Dean and the New England Patriots.

The Packers try to replace Devante Adams with the top pick that they got in their trade. While some mocks have Chris Olave going in the top 15, this draft class is loaded with wide receiver talent. Olave falling to 22 is not out of the question. Olave will fit what the Packers are looking for as a franchise receiver.
Olave will bring a big-play threat and a consistent target for Aaron Rodgers. With elite speed, quickness, and catching ability, Olave immediately makes the Packers better. Green Bay needs a receiver and could even consider double-dipping in this year’s draft.
Andrew Booth Jr. is worthy of a higher pick than 23. Unfortunately, his injury history is enough to scare teams away for the early portion of the draft. For a team like the Cardinals that seem like they are just a piece away, Andrew Booth is a perfect pick at 23. Byron Murphy and Booth would make for an excellent cornerback duo.
The Cardinals could use Booth inside and out. Booth is a physical man corner that can come up and make plays in the run game. If Arizona can solidify their defense to go with their high-powered offense, they could make a run in the NFC.
