1.29: Wan’Dale Robinson, WR, Kentucky

Do you guys remember watching Jarvis Landry with the Miami Dolphins? Well, that’s what you’ll have in Wan’Dale Robinson. Now, I’m not going to lie to you and say that he’s going to just come in year one and replace Hill, but he’s got the potential to be an open receiver on nearly every play.

With Kentucky this past season, Robinson finished with 104 receptions, 1,334 receiving yards, and 7 touchdowns in 13 games played. The thing that may stand out to you there is the 104 receptions he had in college in only 13 games. And without even watching him play, that tells you plenty about the player he is.

Robinson has the ability to create separation off the line with a quick burst and tight cuts. More than that, he has some of the best hands in college football. Anytime Kentucky needed some yards, the ball was going to go to Robinson, and a majority of the time, he was able to haul it in no matter how tight the coverage.

Now, it’s hard for me to tell you that he will be everything that Hill is, but truth is, how many people are? I mean, Hill is irreplaceable. But, getting Robinson at pick 29 gives the Chiefs a potential number one receiver and one of the most reliable pass-catchers in the class.
