The alleged battery case involving New Orleans Saints star Alvin Kamara has unfortunately taken a turn with a local connection as Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chirs Lammons has been named as a fourth party involved at a Las Vegas nightclub incident that featured multiple men reportedly stomping on and kicking a victim multiple times.
Over a week ago, Kamara was originally arrested on multiple charges, including battery, in an incident following the 2022 Pro Bowl that took place at Drai’s After Hours at The Cromwell Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
Las Vegas Metro Police arrested Kamara for allegedly hitting and stomping on the victim multiple times, causing a broken eye socket among other injuries that were later treated at a nearby hospital. Two other men with Kamara were identified and arrested on Wednesday while a fourth person reportedly involved was still at large. That person was also identified as Lammons.
Per the New Orleans Advocate, police have issued a warrant for Lammons arrest. Per the Advocate, Lammons was unnamed in the original police report but was said to have “allegedly stomped on the victim three times and punched him once.”
Lammons was scheduled to be an exclusive rights free agent for the Chiefs which meant he was pretty much assured of returning to the team as long as the Chiefs had an interest. ERFAs have no ability to negotiate with other teams for a better deal, and Lammons seemed to have cemented a spot for himself as a depth corner with special teams experience. That said, the Chiefs are likely to cut ties quickly if these reports are true.
Lammons is a 26-year-old corner who actually played with Kamara and the Saints back in 2018. He’s been with the Chiefs organization since 2019. .
