4. Mike Williams, Los Angeles Chargers

This seems less likely until you remember that Brett Veach is not afraid of making a splashy move in free agency. Mike Williams will not be cheap due to his unique talents. Standing 6’4 and weighing 218, Williams would provide something that Patrick Mahomes has never had. Williams has an enormous catch radius and oftentimes requires safety help. While he is not necessarily the ideal fit for Andy Reid’s scheme, he provides more of a threat than most available receivers.

5. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Green Bay Packers

If Brett Veach wanted to save some money, this may be the option. Marquez Valdes-Scantling has been a player that many have expected to develop into a number one receiver; However, this has never come to fruition. While he has had some really good games in his career, he has never amassed 73 targets in a season. This is, in part, due to the fact that he has been sitting behind Devante Adams. It could also be that he is not as refined as some other receivers who consistently win in man coverage. He does stand 6’4, but he plays more like a deep threat receiver.

6. Michael Gallup, Dallas Cowboys

This one may be a wild card. Gallup has had some good seasons with Dallas, but it is hard to tell just how NFL general managers might evaluate him. Will he get receiver one money or receiver two money? Truth be told, he would be a perfect fit for the Chiefs. He is the right size at 6’1, 198. He has great route running ability and could make big plays the same way that Sammy Watkins did on the 2019 Super Bowl run. While he was more of a deep threat in Dallas, he would immediately take over the middle of the field with Travis Kelce in a Chiefs uniform. Gallup may make the Chiefs unguardable.
