On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs agreed to official terms with 13 new players who will join the 90-man roster when the new league year begins. The players did so by signing reserve/futures contracts, which secures their services during the current football season for the following year.
Some of the names on the list of players coming in to compete for active roster spots in 2022 are familiar names and at least one fo them is likely recognizable even to the league’s casual fans: wide receiver Josh Gordon.
Overall, the Chiefs added players on both sides of the ball and almost all of them have been around Arrowhead for a while, so it’s clear the Chiefs like the developmental core they’ve kept around in offseasons past (or on the practice squad) in hopes they will turn into very real competitors this coming summer.
The Kansas City Chiefs signed a total of 13 more players to reserve/futures deals on Tuesday, per the NFL’s transaction wire.
Rather than just make a rudimentary list, here’s a bit on each player joining the Chiefs on a futures deal on Tuesday—all 13 of them.
