Receiving

First and foremost, Bill’s wideout Gabriel Davis put together one of the all-time playoff efforts for a receiver on Sunday. He had 8 catches for 201 yards, an average of 25.1 yards per catch, an explosive 75-yard touchdown reception, and hauled in all four of Josh Allen’s passing touchdowns. In a game like this, there has to be at least one absolute standout performer, and in this go-around, The Perfect Game, it was Gabriel Davis who dawned that responsibility. He kept the Bills in the game at all times, and for the fainthearted members of Chiefs Kingdom, put it away a time or two.

For the Chiefs, it was business as usual. One of the most storied offensive trios to ever suit up together in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek hill absolutely lit up GEHA Field. Tyreek led K.C. receivers, hauling in 11 of his 13 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown on a 64-yard catch and run where he burned all three levels of the Bills defense. Kelce finished his night with 8 catches on 9 targets for 96 yards and the game-sealing touchdown in the corner of the end zone in overtime.

Mahomes completed passes to seven different Chiefs, including Byron Pringle, the Butler County Community College prospect who has emerged as the consistent second receiving option in Kansas City. He made 5 catches on 7 targets for 29 yards, including a variety of key chunk plays between the ’40s and his third touchdown of this year’s playoffs.
