KC Chiefs vs. Bills: Inactive players for Divisional Round
By Matt Conner
The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs are coming into their scheduled Sunday night game in the Divisional Round at just about the best state a team can hope to be health-wise given the rigors of an NFL season. There are undoubtedly dozens of players on each side dealing with nagging injuries or concerns that they’re playing through on each side. However, when it comes to the official injury report with designations, both franchises should feel good about where they are at.
For the Chiefs. there are only two players with any sort of injury designation and both players are at fairly strong positions. Cornerback Rashad Fenton has missed practice all this week with a back injury. While that sounds like he’s not going to play, the Chiefs kept him as “questionable,” so perhaps he will surprise and play some limited snaps
Other than that, the team has running back Darrel Williams on the injury report also listed as questionable. Williams sat for most of last week’s game with a toe injury, which didn’t hurt the Chiefs at all since Jerick McKinnon played so well against the Steelers. The Chiefs also should have Clyde Edwards-Helaire back for the first time since Week 16, so if he needs to rest some more,. the Chiefs should be just fine in the backfield either way.
Here are the inactive players for Chiefs vs. Bills in the Wild Card round.
As for the Bills, they are looking even better than the Chiefs and lack a single player with an injury designation at all. The only player with a known concern was defensive end Mario Addision with a shoulder injury. He was limited in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday. Given that Addison leads the Bills in sacks with 7 on the year, it might look like a potential sore spot, but the vet practiced in full on Friday and came into the weekend without any designation at all.
Here’s the list of Chiefs players who are officially inactive:
- Rashad Fenton, cornerback
- Darrel Williams, running back
- Joshua Kaindoh, defensive end
- Prince Tega Wanogho, offensive line
- Shane Buechele, quarterback
- Josh Gordon, wide receiver
Here’s the list of Bills players who are officially inactive:

- Tommy Sweeney, tight end
- Matt Breida, running back
