Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos hoped to walk into Arrowhead on Sunday and end the 11-game winning streak. No such luck as the stifling defense of the Chiefs held the Broncos to just 9 points. My favorite reaction to this beatdown?

Ha! Love a good pun. It’s clear that the Broncos have talent. Of course, they do. They have a young receiving core and a defense that can be smothering. However, the Broncos will forever be at the bottom of the AFC West until they find a quarterback. Teddy Bridgewater is fine, but he is not going to get them anywhere.

There really aren’t any highlights that I can provide as a consolation prize in a game that felt like it was over after the first three-and-out, so here is a funny little bit from Shelby Harris:

I love that kind of stuff. Anyways, the Broncos are still at the bottom of the AFC West and are likely to remain there. They don’t have a particularly tough schedule moving forward, but they are the Broncos.

The Broncos came out relatively healthy which is about the only thing they can hold onto. Only Mike Purcell with a thumb injury surprised audiences of this matchup when he was inactive.

Next week, the Broncos hope to get right against the suddenly not winless Lions. The Lions are coming off an emotional week capped by a last-second win, beating the Vikings. I think the Broncos probably win this because the Lions are generally a mess, but the lesson of this season is any given Sunday…
