Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders followed up their tumultuous off-the-field week with Henry Ruggs III with a loss and more off-the-field issues. The Raiders took on the only average New York Giants and lost—thanks to poor play from Derek Carr. Carr tossed two interceptions, one of which was housed by Xavier McKinney.

Coming off their bye week, you would think the Raiders would be better prepared, but the issues with Ruggs seem to have impacted the team. In addition to Ruggs, the Raiders piled on more off-the-field issues with their other 2020 first-round pick Damon Arnette. The cornerback was filmed holding guns and threatening to kill someone, so the Raiders released him.

That is not a good look for their 2020 class…

All these off-the-field issues are certain to carry forward as the Raiders now prepare for a Sunday Night Football showdown in which they are hosting the Chiefs. The Raiders need this win to keep pace with the Chargers (assuming the Chargers win) and the Chiefs need this win to also keep pace with the division. It is a HUGE match-up with major AFC West implications. Given that it is a divisional game, I just do not know what is going to happen on Sunday, but I am sure it will be a wild ride.
