AFC West report: Kansas City Chiefs are falling apart after Week 7

Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders hosted the struggling Eagles and showed that their locker room is bonding after the resignation of Jon Gruden. Not only that, but the team seems to be playing with a freedom that they did not have before. How much of that is attributable to Gruden and how much of that is attributable to a bad Eagles team is TBD, but the Raiders handled their business and are sitting at 5-2 and first in the AFC West.
Following their showing, both the Raiders’ offense and defense were getting love from national media as Maxx Crosby continues to be a problem and Derek Carr is playing great football.
Outside of that, the Raiders have started to make moves in advance of the trade deadline:
Given the wealth of receivers, this is not a surprise. The Raiders now head into their bye week riding a two-game win streak under their interim head coach and looking down at the rest of the AFC West. This gives them time to heal, to continue to learn the style of Rich Bisaccia, and to head into the back half of the season with a good chance at winning the AFC West and making the playoffs. For the record, I hate this.
