The Kansas City Chiefs are hoping to make it two wins in a row. The Tennessee Titans are hoping to knock out another AFC giant. Both teams have a lot to gain in Week 7, which is what makes this particular game so exciting for fans.

Last week, the Chiefs went into Washington and took care of business against the Football Team to the tune of an 18-point road victory. It helped right the ship at 3-3 for the Chiefs, who have taken their licks early in 2021—largely thanks to their own costly errors. With conference losses to fellow contenders already like the L.A. Chargers, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens, the Chiefs now hope to at least make a dent in the Titans’ chances with a win against another team playing for postseason positioning.

As for the Titans, they began the most grueling part of their schedule last weekend against the Bills and beat them in a very close game, giving them a signature win for their ’21 season. If they can knock off the Chiefs in consecutive weeks, the Titans will become a hot commodity in terms of power rankings and the like after making such a strong competitive statement.

Can the Chiefs hold off Derrick Henry? Can the Titans slow Patrick Mahomes? How will the injuries to players like Taylor Lewan affect the way they move the chains in Nashville? And what about the Chiefs’ own injuries to the likes of Anthony Hitchens and Chris Jones?

Here are our predictions for Week 7 from Arrowhead Addict contributors.

Max Cashio

Chiefs capitalize on their win over WFT and get back to their winning ways. Especially with the injuries Tennessee has sustained, the Chiefs will be too much for them to overcome. Chiefs 35, Titans 21

Matt Conner

The Chiefs knew how to handle Derrick Henry the last time these teams met, but the Titans have also given the Chiefs fits in recent seasons. Anything is possible here but these Chiefs know they have to make a statement and I think the Titans aren’t necessarily in that same place since the AFC South is just so thin. Chiefs 34, Titans, 28

Jake Johnson

The Chiefs seemed to find their footing in last week’s matchup on both sides of the ball which should translate to a happy Sunday for the Kingdom, despite the workhorse that is Derrick Henry. Chiefs 34, Titans 24

Scott Loring

The Titans have a big letdown after beating the Bills in primetime last week. The Chiefs hold Derrick Henry under 100 yards, and Patrick Mahomes unloads on the Titans patchwork secondary. Chiefs 44, Titans 20

Ellen Mathis

This a tough game for the Chiefs because it pairs a strength (Derrick Henry) against a weakness (Chiefs run defense). However, the Titans secondary is so banged up that I think the Chiefs take this one. The score, however, won’t reflect a shootout because running the ball takes time off the clock.  Chiefs 27, Titans 20

Evan Mead

The Chiefs biggest problem has been their defense. With star running back Derrick Henry, it’s going to be a uphill battle right out of the gate. I expect it to be somewhat of a shootout, but the Chiefs have had trouble with the Titans in regular season play. Titans 38, Chiefs 35

Farzin Vousoughian

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense will find ways to move the ball and score. But the Chiefs have the worst rush defense and it’s not even close. This is Derrick Henry’s dream matchup. Titans 34, Chiefs 28
