KC Chiefs vs. WFT: Tyreek Hill, Terry McLaurin are active for Week 6
By Matt Conner
Both the Washington Football Team and the Kansas City Chiefs will have their star receivers ready to play despite injuries on Sunday in their Week 6 clash at FedExField. Both Tyreek Hill and Terry McLaurin were questionable coming into the game but both receivers are reportedly ready to go as active players with official reports of inactive coming in from both sides.
Hill and McLaurin are both the key offensive weapons that make their respective offenses work, and McLaurin, in particular, unfairly stands in the shadow of the NFL’s most popular wide receivers despite breaking out last year with a 1,000-yard campaign and being well on his way to another one in 2021. Both offenses will be much more efficient given their presence on Sunday.
Unfortunately for the Chiefs, the good news ends there for a few players who are unfortunately out for the competition. The defense in particular will be missing defensive lineman Chris Jones and cornerback Charvarius Ward, both of whom are inactive after missing practices all week with wrist and quad injuries, respectively. The Chiefs will also be down their best blocking tight end in Blake Bell.
As for the Chiefs other inactive players, there are no surprises in seeing three offensive linemen on the list in Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Austin Blythe and Prince Tega Wanogho. As for Washington, their complete list of inactive players reads: wide receiver Curtis Samuel, wide receiver Cam Sims, cornerback Corn Elder, offensive lineman Brandon Scherff, offensive tackle Sam Cosmi, and tight end Jace Sternberger.
Both teams are set to kick off at 12:00 p.m. C.T.
