The Kansas City Chiefs have been busy on the personnel front today, including placing running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire on injured reserve.

Remember, landing on IR doesn’t mean CEH’s season is over like it used to. These days, placing a player on IR means that they must miss a minimum of three weeks. With a sprained MCL, CEH was expected to miss “a few weeks” and so if the Chiefs didn’t think Clyde would be back in fewer than three games, placing him on IR to open up a roster spot was a good move.

Here is a look at the rest of the moves the Chiefs have made:

We already told you that the Chiefs waived Fountain. With CEH’s move to IR, the Chiefs had two open spots on the active roster, which they filled with Gore and PTW.

The team also added running back Elijah McGuire to their practice squad.

Lastly, there is a report that the Chiefs have looked into potentially trading for Indianapolis Colts running back, Marlon Mack.

The NFL trade deadline is November 2, so if the Chiefs want to make any moves, big or small, to improve their roster, they will have to get busy soon.
