3. Chiefs vs. Browns, Sept. 12, 2021

The Chiefs got off to a shaky start. The Browns were in full control of the first half and Baker Mayfield was outplaying Patrick Mahomes. The Browns led the Chiefs 22-10 at halftime. But if anyone knows anything about Mahomes and the Chiefs, you never count them out. A deficit like this is nothing new to them.

The Chiefs rallied in the second half, taking advantage of Cleveland’s turnovers and a special teams miscue. The Chiefs outscored the Browns 23-7 in the second half. Mahomes was responsible for all four of Kansas City’s touchdowns, running it in himself once, throwing to Travis Kelce twice and Tyreek Hill once.

Mahomes went on to win AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance.
