Wide Receivers

Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited about Daurice Fountain, too. But I was equally excited about Cody Thompson and Jamal Custis. The fact remains that the Chiefs were once in the market for another top-tier pass catcher but failed to bring him in. There’s also this fact:

Whether you prefer John Brown, Keke Coutee, Travis Fulgham, Antonio Gandy-Golden, Riley Ridley (I alphabetized them to display how much I really don’t care which player we’re talking about), or perhaps another wideout who received his walking papers on Tuesday, there’s just a lot of good pass catchers out there who can be had very inexpensively.

The Chiefs have one known entity at the position in Tyreek Hill. After that, you have four hungry but still unproven young players currently on the roster. If there’s a guy out there on the wire that Veach and Reid think can contribute, we can expect them to make a move.
