Porter Gustin, DE

The 6’5″ 260 pound Gustin went undrafted in 2019 but made the Cleveland Browns’ roster in each of the last two seasons. Gustin came on strong in 2020, playing in 14 games and starting three of those contests.

While the Chiefs appear to be mostly set across the defensive front, there’s a lot to like about the 24-year-old Gustin, including the fact that he can contribute on special teams. Gustin has a relentless motor and probably would have been drafted in not for injuries that hindered him during his junior and senior seasons at USC.

The release of Tim Ward tells us that the Chiefs appear to be comfortable with Frank Clark, Chris Jones, Alex Okafor, Mike Danna, and Joshua Kaindoh. But Gustin performed well in 2020 and many fans in Cleveland were surprised he didn’t make the Browns.
