Travis Kelce, Tight End

Position Rank: 1

Average Draft Position: Early round-two

Explanation: Does this one even need much explanation? Probably not, but I’ll give it to you anyways.

Kelce is considered by most the best tight end in the NFL, and his production backs it up. Some people could argue George Kittle, but with Kittle’s injury history, Kelce is going to take this spot in my rankings. Looking at what Kelce has been able to do alongside Mahomes since 2018, the statistics speak for themselves.

  • 2018: 103 receptions, 1,336 yards, 10 touchdowns
  • 2019: 97 receptions, 1,229 yards, 5 touchdowns
  • 2020: 105 receptions, 1,416 yards, 11 touchdowns

For those of you guys that are wondering as to where that ranks among tight ends, he’s number one. In fact, it’s not fair to only compare his numbers to other tight ends, since he’s so clearly the top option, but even against other receivers, his statistics are elite. His production gives anyone a top-tier weapon to build their fantasy team around.

The only caution I’d express, and I know I’m sounding like a broken record here, but it’s important to get a running back early. However, if I’m in a draft and someone takes Travis Kelce instead of a running back on the back-end turn, there would be no problem with that.
