The National Football League Player’s Association recently released merchandise sales from the last quarter in terms of overall player popularity and two members of the K.C. Chiefs were in the rankings—both within the top 30, actually. Both quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce were listed among the league’s most well-known players.

The NFLPA tallied the total merchandise sales of players from March 1 to May 31 and Mahomes came in No. 2 overall, just behind Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

It’s an understandable top two and most fans would have likely guessed that pairing in some order back to back. According to the NFLPA, either Brady or Mahomes has been the top-selling player in terms of merch sales in every quarter going back to the 2018 season.

Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes once again lead NFLPA’s merch sales.

The totals are generated by reports submitted from 75 licensees, per the NFLPA, from Panini trading cards to Fanatics team gear.

Given their presence as offensive staples on a team once again favored to win the Super Bowl, Mahomes and Kelce are going to enjoy a bright spotlight on them for the next several months. The Chiefs are built to win and should be in primetime often in each of the next five to six months. Given the record-setting production of both players, it wouldn’t be surprising to see their names on this list a year from now (or beyond).

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, and Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb rounded out the top five players on the NFLPA’s list.
