Trey Smith – G – Tennessee – Round 6 – Pick 226

If you don’t have this pick as an “A” for the Chiefs, I don’t know what to tell you. Trey Smith was almost universally viewed as a top 100 pick talent and the Chiefs got him at pick 226. The only reason that Smith fell in the draft is that he battled an issue with blood clots early in his college career. The Chiefs are pretty well set at guard this season, but that means they have time to work with Smith on some of his issues with inconsistency. If the Chiefs can get him to consistently play like his highlight reel, not only will he be the steal of their draft class, but he could be the steal of the entire 2021 draft.
