Terrance Mitchell

Terrance Mitchell was quite the journeyman cornerback in the NFL, but was always able to land decent contracts with teams for several years because of his solid play. Mitchell played for the Chiefs for two seasons, back in 2016 and 2017. In those two seasons, Mitchell recorded 65 solo tackles, 4 interceptions, and a very impressive 24 passes defended.

Mitchell ended up leaving the Chiefs for the Cleveland Browns as a free agent prior to the 2018 season, and unfortunately for K.C., they missed Mitchell during the 2018 season. The Chiefs struggled at the position and ended up benching both starting corners in Orlando Scandrick and Steven Nelson at one point or another. With a slightly more competent secondary that year, the Chiefs would have potentially won the Super Bowl. Ultimately we’ll never know, but what we do know is Mitchell was a solid corner and definitely under-appreciated.
