Here’s all the analysis, predictions, and game day info you need to enjoy the Chargers vs. Chiefs in Week 17.

While Sunday afternoon’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers isn’t all that important in the greater scheme, the Kansas City Chiefs are still suiting up to play football at Arrowhead which is enough to get us excited.

The Chiefs had the AFC West locked up weeks ago, and clinched the top seed in the entire conference last week, which basically means this week is a wash. The Chiefs are 14-1 through Week 16, which is why head coach Andy Reid has already announced that Patrick Mahomes won’t be starting at quarterback and several other starters are also resting before the postseason—a list of playmakers that includes wide receiver Sammy Watkins, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and linebacker Ben Niemann.

What this does mean is that younger prospects will have the chance to show what they’ve gleaned throughout the season. It’s exciting to see promising players develop, and this is a good exhibition for the front office and coaching staff to see what they have in terms of depth and potential before the coming offseason. In fact, we’ve got a good rundown on players to watch if given more playing time here.

The Chargers will hope to end their season on a high note with a road win over the Chiefs, even if it is meaningless and against several backups. The Bolts have won three in a row and have found their franchise quarterback. That means the hardest work has already been done.
