The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Atlanta Falcons 17-14 on Sunday to clinch the top seed in the AFC playoffs, despite a rare poor performance from Patrick Mahomes.

Look, I hate to admit it as much as the next member of Chiefs Kingdom, but Patrick Mahomes had a bad game against the Atlanta Falcons. I know we’re all used to him being brilliant all the time, but an honest look back at Sunday’s game means admitting that Mahomes struggled.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that even when Mahomes has a bad game, which is rare, the Chiefs still win. At least they did this time.

On this week’s Arrowhead Addict podcast, Matt Verderame and Patrick Allen (that’s me) break down the Chiefs’ latest victory and look ahead to the playoffs. We also take a few moments to laugh at the Las Vegas Raiders for the absolutely hilarious way K.C.’s division rival lost this week. Seriously, if you didn’t watch it live, make sure to look up the highlights.
