The Broncos could be without two of their best offensive weapons in Jerry Jeudy and Phillip Lindsay.

When the Denver Broncos take the field on Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, they’re going to be plenty motivated to put the nightmares of Week 12 behind them. That said, they’re going to have a hard time not only against the Chiefs defense but also because they could be without two key weapons: rookie wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and running back Phillip Lindsay.

The Broncos submitted their final injury report of the week after practice on Friday and three players are listed as questionable, including Jeudy and Lindsay. Outside linebacker Malik Reed is the third such player.

Jeudy has been dealing with an ankle injury this week although the team’s first round pick in the 2020 draft has yet to miss a single game of his initial turn through the league. Jeudy leads Denver in receiving yards through 11 games and has 37 catches for 589 yards and 2 touchdowns so far this season. If he’s unable to play on Sunday, the Chiefs will be able to apply more focus on tight end Noah Fant and wideout Tim Patrick as Drew Lock’s primary targets.

As for Lindsay, he’s already missed a few games in the first month of the season with a toe injury. While the Broncos do have Melvin Gordon in the fold in case something is wrong with Lindsay (and even when he’s healthy), Lindsay has been the more efficient back for the Broncos this season. Lindsay even had 78 rushing yards on only 9 carries against K.C. earlier this year in Week 7, a lone bright spot in a 27-point loss.

The Broncos suffered an embarrassing loss against the New Orleans Saints last week in what can only be described as a complete debacle. The team had zero healthy quarterbacks on the roster given that everyone was placed on the COVID-19/reserve list due to a forced quarantine after Jeff Driskel had a positive test result. Practice squad wide receiver Kendall Hinton, a former quarterback at Wake Forest, stepped in and performed as expected: miserably. The end result was a 1-for-9 performance with 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

The Broncos and Chiefs kick off at 7:20 p.m. C.T.
