Kansas City Chiefs

Oh my, I love my Chiefs. The Chiefs traveled to play the Buccaneers for the first of two games this season in Tampa (see what I did there?). Tom Brady and the Bucs had been hyped as a team with all the talent in the world coming into this game—the game of the year! Boy, was it fun. Sometimes I forget how fast Tyreek Hill is. Then I just watch these replays:

It is just silly at some point. Hill was absolutely incredible on Sunday—uncoverable. He even took the top spot among NFL receiving yards leaders on the season, followed closely by Travis Kelce. This team is really made of freaks. Mahomes was his typical amazing self. I never want to forget how lucky we are to be witnessing this. The defense was great in the first half, but there are still questions because Tampa brought it to a one score game in the fourth quarter.

Unconventionally, Reid opted not to go safe and gave the reigns to his unicorn. Mahomes closed it out with a dart to none other than Hill. This team is special and I always love seeing sad Tom Brady.

Next week, the Chiefs host the Broncos. The Broncos will actually have quarterbacks this week so watch out. Truly though, the Chiefs need to keep pace with the Steelers if they want to have any hope of a first round bye. The Steelers schedule is relatively easy down the stretch, so the Chiefs can’t afford to drop a game to an inferior opponent. This is a game in which the Chiefs can figure out some of the things that are going wrong (pressuring quarterbacks) and continue with the things that are working (Patrick Mahomes and his god-like arm).

Game time is Sunday night at 7:20 p.m.

dark. Next. The Chiefs have a bright future at QB
