Chiefs win but what the hell is wrong with Harrison Butker?

The Kansas City Chiefs are 8-1 heading into their Bye Week but what is wrong with kicker Harrison Butker?

On the Arrowhead Addict Podcast, we’ve spent the better part of this football season talking about how awesome the Kansas City Chiefs are. They are! The Chiefs are really good. They’re the defending Super Bowl Champions and when they focus, they look like the best team in the NFL.

The Chiefs do have flaws. Many of those flaws were magnified in today’s game against a super-aggressive Carolina Panthers team. The biggest and most glaring problem facing the Chiefs appears to be the inconsistency of kicker Harrison Butker. Butker has been incredible through most of his short career so far. In fact, he has been so good the Chiefs recently rewarded him with a new contract. This season, however, Butker can’t seem to make extra points. He’s missed eight of them so far. Eight! We’ve been saying on the podcast that eventually Butker’s missed XPs would come back to haunt the Chiefs and today it almost happened. The Chiefs were only winning by two points when they should have been up three, thanks to one of Butker’s misses. The Panthers had the ball last and well…you know how this story USUALLY ends for the Chiefs. Thankfully, the defense stepped up and KC was able to hang on.
