Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw his 100th career touchdown pass on Sunday.
The career milestones keep piling up for Patrick Mahomes. The latest is another incredible mark showing just how rare of a talent he is for the Kansas City Chiefs as he reached 100 passing touchdowns in his career with a deep strike to Tyreek Hill in the fourth quarter against the Carolina Panthers.
Mahomes has already thrown three touchdowns, with no interceptions, in the Chiefs game against the Panthers in Week 9. His 99th career touchdown was a short goal line toss to running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, while his 100th was a nice long throw to a wide open Hill in the end zone for 28 yards.

Mahomes became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 100 career passing touchdowns, all accomplished in his 40th career start. As a starter he’s 31-8 for the Chiefs so far (and K.C. is winning today’s game as well), and Mahomes has thrown only 19 interceptions to date to go with those 100 scores—which is better than a 5-to-1 ratio. Mahomes leads the league in interception percentage in 2020 with a 0.4 percent rate.
For his career, Mahomes has completed 914 passes of 1,383 attempts for a completion rate of 66.1 percent. He’s thrown for an incredible 11,727 passing yards, or just over 300 yards per game, before Sunday’s record-setting day, but he’s already eclipsed well over 300 against the Panthers as well.
Mahomes already has a Super Bowl win, a Most Valuable Player award and a Super Bowl MVP trophy to his credit. He was recently given the biggest contract in American sports history for this very reason, and the Chiefs will remain Super Bowl contenders as long as he’s under center. On Sunday, he just added further proof to an already indefensible case.
