Here’s a rundown of the top storylines for the Chiefs as they prepare for the Broncos in Week 7.

With the Kansas City Chiefs ready to take the field against the Denver Broncos on Sunday for their latest AFC West showdown, we survey the biggest storylines to watch in Mile High.

Le’Veon Bell‘s arrival

Here’s the list of weapons to which Le’Veon Bell is being added. Let’s think on this one more time:

  1. Tyreek Hill – The NFL’s most dangerous offensive weapon
  2. Travis Kelce – The NFL’s best tight end
  3. Clyde Edwards-Helaire – The top RB in this year’s draft
  4. Mecole Hardman – Deep speed threat averaging 18.8 yards/catch in his career
  5. Sammy Watkins – Great physical WR who was top 10 pick
  6. Demarcus Robinson – Solid WR with elite athleticism

Let’s not forget that the single greatest player in the NFL today is the one throwing them the ball. Patrick Mahomes already has an incredible arsenal at his disposal but the Chiefs are excited to add Bell to the mix in Week 7 for a closer look at what the former All-Pro can bring.

Bell doesn’t have to be a central cog in this offense, but there’s no denying that he has an impressive history as a franchise-carrying back whose well-rounded skill set has frustrated defensive coordinators for years. Even Chiefs fans have plenty of memories of Bell’s patient running style frustrating the team’s defense for one first down after another, gaining huge chunks of yards at key times.

It’s going to be fun to see Andy Reid learn how to use Bell in this offense in the weeks to come. We get a first taste of this on Sunday against Denver.
