A closer look at the stats and what they about the Kansas City Chiefs’ ability to beat the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football.

When talking about the upcoming game between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, it’s common to hear about the second coming of Brady-Manning.

I do not think that serves this matchup enough credit.

Tom Brady was the GOAT, sure, and Peyton Manning without injury problems is probably unbeatable. With all due respect to both, neither them can even comparable athletically to Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes. The day Brady throws a ball 60 yards off his back foot while rolling to his right pursued by an angry defender is the day that I’ll recreate Vince Carter’s iconic dunk with a height of 5’8″. And if Lamar Jackson has more rushing yards in the next two week than Manning had in his entire career, I would not be surprised.

This is not Brady-Manning. It’s also not Magic-Bird, nor is it Mayweather-Pacquiao. No, this is something different entirely.

The upcoming showdown with Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson features two of the best players in the NFL, both still learning and coming into their own, both with accomplishments and accolades piled high in their houses, both who consistently put up MVP performances. This is like Magic and Bird, who refused to lose to each other; Diaz-Mcgregor, with all the trash talk; Mayweather-Pacquiao, with all the respect; Brady-Manning, with the playoff and future implications. Yet it’s all mixed into one crazy, young, rivalry that consistently entertains.

This is Mahomes-Jackson, and on Monday we will all get the amazing opportunity to witness the next chapter in what we can only hope will be a long competitive rivalry.

How can the Mahomes and the Chiefs come out of Baltimore with a victory over Jackson and the Ravens? We took an analytical look at both the Chiefs’ and the Ravens’ stats, and by identifying what the Ravens do well, what they do poorly, and how the Chiefs can capitalize on both of those areas, we came up with a game plan on how the Kansas City Chiefs can beat the Baltimore Ravens.
