Both the Texans and Chiefs have released their list of inactive players.

The Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs are on the verge of opening the NFL’s regular season schedule in primetime on Thursday Night Football and both teams have officially decided who will be on their active rosters with the release of each franchise’s inactive list.

For the Texans, the biggest news is who is not on the list: wide receiver Brandin Cooks. He was injured heading into Thursday’s game, listed as questionable after missing quite a bit of the team’s training camp practices with a quad injury. However, the report that he will be active tonight means the Texans will have their full arsenal at hand at wideout, even if on limited snaps.

For Houston, the team will be without wide receiver Keke Coutee and a couple linebackers in Dylan Cole and rookie Jonathan Greenard. The Texans also employ offensive tackle Charlie Heck (son of Chiefs coach Andy Heck) but he’s also inactive. Rounding out the list is fullback Cullen Gillaspia and cornerback Cornell Armstrong.

For the Chiefs, tight end Ricky Seals-Jones and defensive lineman Taco Charlton are the biggest names left off the active roster for this first game of the season. Charlton is new to the team this offseason, as is Seals-Jones. The tight end was also dealing with an injury for much of the preseason.

The complete list of inactives for the Chiefs: Charlton, Seals-Jones, offensive lineman Yasir Durant, defensive end Demone Harris, and cornerback BoPete Keyes.
