Quarterbacks

1. Matt Moore
2. Jordan Ta’amu

The quarterback position may be the least concern on this list. The Chiefs have star Patrick Mahomes under contract for the next twelve seasons, so they are set at the starting spot. Chad Henne‘s deal puts him under contract through 2021, so the Chiefs could just roll with two quarterbacks on the active roster both this year and next year and they wouldn’t really have to worry about signing someone new in their current salary cap situation.

The signing of Matt Moore was a little surprising with Henne under contract already and Jordan Ta’amu signed on as a developmental arm. It will be interesting to see how many quarterbacks they keep around this season. I doubt that Ta’amu makes the active roster, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him stick around on the practice squad, especially if they only keep two guys on the active roster.

Regardless of how the last quarterback spots shake out this season, this isn’t a position that has me worried going into 2021.

Next up, let’s look at the potential running back losses in 2021.
