Which Kansas City Chiefs players will break out in 2020?

Tanoh Kpassagnon

Switching over to the defense, there were a lot of players on the defensive line worthy of a selection. I think both Derrick Nnadi and Khaulen Saunders will continue to improve, but the player who will take the biggest leap is Tanoh Kpassagnon.

Kpassagnon was a huge factor down the stretch for K.C., and while he needs to become more consistent, he has all the tools to make it happen. He has a motor that is reminiscent of Frank Clark with the size and quickness to either remain outside or even slide inside to disrupt.

Kpassagnon’s versatility is something that will keep him on the field as long as possible, even as a potential starter at defensive end over Alex Okafor. With his excellent length at 6’7″ and incredible agility, he could be absolute nightmare for opposing quarterbacks. His reach can easily affect how quarterbacks throw the ball, and he can hopefully start batting down a lot more passes at the line of scrimmage.

While it remains to be seen if he can consistently put pressure on the QB without another stud pass rusher, Kpassagnon luckily has two elite guys to play alongside and learn from. If he can soak up the knowledge from Chris Jones and Clark, Kpassagnon could make a fortune in his contract year.

If I had to wager on who has the best chance for double-digit sacks not named Chris Jones or Frank Clark, I am running to the house with TK.
