The Chiefs 2020 schedule has been revealed by the NFL and the defending Super Bowl champs have a long road ahead to defend the title.

The path to running it back has been officially defined with the release of the Kansas City Chiefs 2020 schedule by the league on Thursday evening.

Three months after the team successfully came back to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, fans of the Chiefs learned where and when they will face their 2020 regular season slate of opponents. The schedule this season includes 5 games in primetime and features a run against the NFC South, key AFC contests against the likes of the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens, and, of course, the AFC West rivals.

This season, the Chiefs are the favorites to repeat after having returned 20 of 22 starters from the Super Bowl. The team has also added further talent and depth in key places via free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft including a young cornerback core, a new lead back in Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and some much needed athleticism at linebacker with Willie Gay, Jr.

The one thing that Chiefs will now have to get used to is the target on their collective backs. While the Chiefs have been a successful franchise ever since Andy Reid arrived in 2013, it’s another thing entirely to have every franchise preparing to try to knock off the defending Super Bowl champs week after week.

Here’s the official listing of the Chiefs 2020 schedule:
