19. Las Vegas Raiders – Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU

Analysis by Arrowhead Addict contributor Lyle Graversen
Having already addressed their need for a number one wideout earlier in the round, the Raiders are able to turn their attention to their secondary here. The Raiders drafted cornerback Trayvon Mullen last year and while he looks like he should be a quality starter for the foreseeable future, the team really needs another corner to pair with him. That’s where Kristian Fulton comes in.

Fulton has all the tools to be an elite corner in the NFL. He has good length, good speed, and he’s an exceptional man coverage corner already. With good coaching his ceiling is sky high. While he’s not the strongest tackler in this draft class, he does so well sticking to his man in coverage that it shouldn’t be a huge issue since he may not see a lot of balls thrown his way.

I don’t think there is a massive drop off between Fulton and other corners like Trevon Diggs, Jeff Gladney, Jaylon Johnson, and A.J. Terrell, but I think Fulton might have the highest upside of that group so that’s ultimately why he’s the pick here. That having been said, if the Raiders really like one of those other corners better, it wouldn’t shock me. (Lyle Graversen)
