15. Denver Broncos – Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama

Analysis by Arrowhead Addict contributor Thomas Welte

The Denver Broncos would turn this pick in pretty quickly. The top receivers are off the board, but somehow Jedrick Wills—who many believe could be the top offensive tackle—is lingering at pick 15. The 2020 draft has a log jam of top quality tackles and Denver benefits here.

Wills has prototypical size and comes out of a powerhouse for NFL linemen. Prior to Wirfs blowing up the Combine, Wills provided the buzz as he put up impressive numbers. The Alabama lineman has unique agility for a man his size and certainly has the potential to be a franchise left tackle.

Denver would love to add a playmaker for young quarterback Drew Lock, but solidifying the offensive line is the next best thing. The selection of Wills will allow Denver to move former first rounder Garrett Bolles away from the left tackle spot where he can continue to develop with less pressure. This would make the Broncos offensive line much more formidable, pairing Wills next to standout guard Dalton Risner.

Denver also has a need at corner, so Florida cover man C.J. Henderson is tempting, but Wills is just too much value. Conversely, Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims is the best receiver on the board but would be somewhat of a reach at this pick. Both would fill needs, but Wills is the intersection of need and value for Denver. (Thomas Welte)
